Police K-9 Training Information
At Von der haus Gill Police K-9 Academy our program is geared towards the real world working situations. We have 3 Master Trainers on staff. We have decades of experience in Police K-9 handling/ training. All Trainers are current or retired K-9 handlers. This is not a civilian program pretending to know what the law enforcement K-9 world is all about. Our instructors teach across the country at National Training Seminars, and testify in court cases as expert witnesses. Our program is highly respected across the country. We train officers for Federal, State, County and Local Law Enforcement agencies.

Our program includes real world search training at our world class facility as well as many off site settings. We train daytime hours and many nighttime hours as well to again simulate the real world handlers will encounter. We train in areas such as, live fire, tactical control, traffic stops, felony searches, schools, buildings. We offer many hours of classroom work as well as the hands on training.
On completion of the schools, students can certify with Ohio Peace Officers Council if eligible, National Association of Professional Canine Handlers, American Police Canine Association, and /or North American Police Work Dog Association. We are licensed by ATF, DEA and the Ohio State Pharmacy Board. We are a former GSA Contract Holder.
