Presently- retired from active law enforcement as of December 31, 2002 due to severe back injury.

Over my career with Wapakoneta Police Department, Allen County Sheriff's Office and private business. I have trained and worked with all types of dogs. These range from Patrol, narcotics/explosives/cadaver& SAR.

Al is 58 yrs olds, married for 39 yrs. (wife Susan) he has two grown children, three grandsons and three granddaughters . Al & Susan own and operate Von der haus Gill Kennel/ Von der haus Gill German Shepherds Inc. along with their son Matt and his wife Amy. Al is retired Deputy Sheriff from Allen County Sheriff's Office, Lima, and a former Lieutenant/Acting Chief Wapakoneta Police Department
